Motul Ibérica Trade Marketing Manager
Marketing Department
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Trade Marketing is the strategic interface between Marketing and Sales, and it is responsible for translating Brand and Product Strategy into Channels and Customer plans. Its main responsibilities will be developing, producing, coordinating and controlling BTL programs, POS & Merchandising materials and trade communications in Spain and Portugal for all Motul Categories.
Strategy
- Responsible for developing the Annual Trade Marketing Plan for Motul Ibérica, in line with business strategy, to assure the correct translation of the Brand and Product strategy previously defined in the marketing plans into each Channel and Customer. This includes launch introduction, RTM strategy.
- Have a clear understanding of the channels and customers and its performance, through the analysis of sales and profitability, and implement the according corrective actions optimizing the available marketing resources.
- Detection and Identification of opportunities for each channel and customer, from needs and insights identification, that allow us to implement short-term actions to guarantee brand sales and loyalty.
- Competitor promotional and trade activities follow-up and monitoring.
Merchandising & POS material
- Manage and Control merchandising and POS material stocks.
- Responsible for creating the merchandising forecast to France.
- Local Suppliers selection, negotiation, design and implementation of advertising material (merchandising and POS material).
Promotional Activity and Loyalty programs
- Definition and implementation of the Promotional Plan per Channel and Customer, together with the PMs, and assure the translation and correct coordination with the sales team.
- Cross-sell, up-sell actions to reach penetration and distribution objectives.
- Definition and implementation of the loyalty programs.
- Control and implementation of the automatization of promotions in SAP and CRM.
Sales Coordination
- Be the voice of the customer and collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer current needs, and identify collaboration synergies.
- Coordinate with the sales department the definition and creation of the different client joint activities (trade shows, incentive trips, product presentations…).
- Coordinate with the communication responsible the design and creation of the different trade materials for the sales team.
Reporting
- Definition, monitoring and share with Top Management the main channel/customer KPI’s and propose improvement recommendations to achieve department objectives.
- Analyze and measure the ROI of the promotional and trade plan, trough the definition of a ROI methodology calculation and implementation of dashboards.
- Coordinate with PMs for creating and nourishing the Price Positioning database that help us to monitor Motul and Competitor Prices.
Skills needed:
- Strategic thinking and analytical with a comprehensive channel and customer knowledge.
- Minimum 5 years in a department and/or trade marketing position.
- Able to work independently under pressure and capable of delivering commitments.
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to persuade and influence others.
- Strong in problem-solving.
- Team player and a can-do attitude.
