General description:
Technical Manager, taking ownership for all technical topics within MOTUL Middle East Business Unit including 12 countries.
Reporting to : Managing Director of Motul Middle East (ME)
Working on projects related to the ME Region and Motul's Headquater(HQ). She/he performs all technical and product related work. Responsibilities involves preparing technical documentation, presentations, records, and reports; active communication including trainings catered for customers, colleagues in all countries of the Region (+12 countries). The Technical Manager will be also entitled to coordinate projects in interaction with other departments including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates projects in close relationship with other departments, especially sales and marketing.
- Develops and delivers appropriate technical support, trainings, and professional services for the team, distributors and their customers.
- Performs regular market visit across the region to assess the product gaps and the
competition's product offering. - Monitors industry trends, technologies and learnings as well as client and user
communities. - Prepares all technical materials such as presentations, TDS, MSDS, product
information, and leaflets. - Supports other departments and HQ in France with all technical issues.
- Solves technical problems occurred related to our products and technical applications.
- Manages test procedures and interpretation of test reports.
- Follows market trends and governmental regulations and prepares appropriate solutions.
- Makes permanent customer (distributors, workshops etc) visits to follow up trends and special requirements of each market, making field visits and training sales teams of distributors and organizes local trainings for the points of sale.
Profile
Education and experience:
- University degree or comparable qualification in Engineering or technology related
departments (the most important thing is your knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of vehicles). - Automotive Lubricants field experience.
- Min. 5-8 years of experience in Technical role, technical sales or product management.
- Proficiency in MS office applications.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- No travel limitations.
