In the Business Applications department, the SAP Basis consultant is part of the Operations & Monitoring team and report to a manager in charge of applications administration, applications monitoring and authorizations.

The internal SAP Basis consultant oversees all activities of the domain and coordinates other resources (external consultants and TMA resources) if required.

List of main responsibilities:

·  Overall technical support on the SAP platform;

·  Management of our SAP landscape;

·  Maintenance of the SAP platform and components upgraded with the latest packages and features;

·  Monitoring of the overall SAP platform and optimal performance;

·  Assisting running and project teams with implementing and supporting SAP components, project improvements, support, incidents, security, roles and access, and peripherals connected to SAP;

·  Ensuring proper backup and restore in coordination with infrastructure team;

·  Managing transport process and execution;

·   Administrating and tuning of SAP DataBases (HANA and SQL Server) in coordination with infrastructure team;

·   Administrating the complete lifecycle of SAP applications including system & client copy and migration.

The SAP Basis consultant will also manage transversal projects related to SAP environments as put in place application monitoring for SAP and automate alerts.

Education and certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

SAP Certifications and/or official trainings in SAP administration for SAP R/3 and S/4HANA

 Experience and skills
+10 years’ experience in SAP Basis operation

Ability to work in an international environment within a human-sized team

Management of priorities and proactivity

Demonstrated experience in support services and projects implementation as SAP Basis role

Demonstrated experience in SAP system/database backup & restore

Experience in the administration & maintenance including system, client copy, and migration

Technical skills that enable the tuning of the ABAP installations & JAVA parameters

SAP Solution Manager

ITIL and project management

Languages
Mandatory: working languages are French and English

No Business trips planned unless project assignment requires some

Position based in Aubervilliers (MOTUL Head Office) or Vaires-sur-Marne (MOTUL Plant)
